At ON Tribe Forum this year we’re bringing back the Mentor Marketplace. The Marketplace is a structured networking event that will gather a range of our mentors who have varied experiences across entrepreneurship, business, science, technology, law and stacks more.
As a little taster, we’ve created a very small sample of some of the marvellous mentors that will be ready to help you on your journey at ON Tribe Forum.
Adeline Chu has been a founding team member of award-winning start-ups in nanotech, fintech, and edtech. Prior to her start-up journey, she worked in senior marketing positions with global companies such as American Express, Ogilvy & Mather, and Philips. Adeline has mentored with CSIRO, muru-D, Founder Institute, Cicada Innovations, NTUitive and A*STAR. She is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence with Remarkable and BlueChilli.
Rafael Kimberley-Bowen has a portfolio career combining board roles, CFO advisory & exec roles, venture capital and angel investment, entrepreneurship and commercialising innovations, NFP support and pro bono work.
As a director of StartupWA, Perth Angels, Scale Partners and Techboard, Venture Partner at 808 Ventures, Limited Partner at GD1 Fund, Creator of Techboard’s Startup Ranking and the Australian Angel Awards, Co-Founder of Sealz, Founder of One Percent Pledge, Director of ADHD Australia, there’s not much that Rafael hasn’t done. Passionate about working with innovators and disruptors, early-stage investment and using data to support better decision making, Rafael is dedicated to seeing science through to impact.
Georgia Pugh is an experienced commercial business professional passionate about food and agriculture with a strong understanding of operations and key performance drivers across all levels of the agribusiness sector.
Georgia is currently a Principal Advisor at AgThentic, a boutique strategy and advisory firm working to help bring more practical useful technologies and new business models to agriculture. Her previous role was Senior Commercial Analyst at a large international FMCG food business responsible for providing commercial and strategic support, leadership and operational analysis to drive business performance improvements for the Export and Wholesale Food Service business units. If that’s not enough Georgia also has Big 4 professional services experience as a Senior Consultant at PwC in Research and Development consulting.
Lance Chai is a healthcare executive with over 37 years of national and international experience, including more than 20 years in commercial leadership roles with iconic multinational medical device developers and manufacturers. Lance is currently Lead Partner with Australasia’s largest mid-tier consulting firm advising and mentoring med-tech and health-related start-ups and SMEs.
Interest in the design, development and commercialisation of medical devices – especially those with deep-tech principles – Lance is dedicated to bringing efficiency to health systems and delivering a positive social impact by filling significant unmet needs.
Alex Hayes works as a clinical engineer in WA Health and is a co-founder and CTO of Inova Medical, a start-up developing a device for abscess treatment. He graduated his PhD studies at Curtin University on the mechanical properties of tendon. His continued work and research in the field of biomedical engineering has given him exposure to the entire medical device life cycle, from designing custom medical devices to asset management within the hospital system. Alex was recently awarded Young Professional Engineer of the Year 2019 for WA.
Alex has been a participant in both ON Prime and ON Accelerate and now wants to give back and share his learnings from both programs, and everything that’s come after.
